Since retiring from cycling, Fabian has focused his attention on the business world developing ties with a number of growing enterprises. He is able to offer his wealth of experience and business acumen from a variety of different roles, whilst also boasting a network of contacts that spans the globe.
Omata is the first analogue bike speedometer. Fabian is the co-owner and ambassador of this fledgling company; with his public profile helping the project develop and gain publicity.
Chasing Cancellara provides 333 cycling fans with the chance to race against the double Olympic champion. June 2017 will see the inaugural Chasing Cancellara event to be held in Andermatt with the event expanding in the coming years to include more riders. Not only is Fabian the main protagonist but also, together with the Human Sports Management AG, the owner of the project.
Fabian Cancellara is co-owner of the recently-relaunched triathlon series TriStar. His experience, network of contacts and public profile will help to give the brand global recognition. In addition, Fabian also plans to participate himself so fans and triathletes will have the chance to compete against him.
With his longtime social commitment for the Laureus Foundation Switzerland as well as his outstanding achievements Fabian Cancellara was declared in 2016 as the first Swiss to become a Laureus World Sports Academy Member. In this committee of over 60 members are just former athletes who have shaped their discipline strongly.
As an ambassador he is committed voluntarily for the Laureus Foundation Switzerland to enable children through sport a positive life and to provide the social challenges more public respect.
